-
Mastitis can cause breast pain, tenderness, swelling, warmth and inflammation, and can make feeding particularly uncomfortable.
Our specialist physiotherapists can provide support for appropriate breast and chest symptoms alongside medical and lactation support.
-
Engorgement can leave your breasts feeling swollen, firm, heavy and painful, particularly in the early days of breastfeeding or when feeding patterns change.
We can provide physiotherapy assessment, advice and treatment where appropriate to help you feel more comfortable.
-
A painful or tender area of the breast can be uncomfortable and worrying, particularly when breastfeeding.
We can assess the breast and surrounding chest tissues and provide appropriate physiotherapy support. Where feeding, positioning or milk supply may be contributing, we can also connect you with our free monthly lactation drop in clinic with Liz Brierley, IBCLC.
-
Nipple pain, sensitivity and discomfort can make breastfeeding difficult and may have a number of causes.
If you're experiencing ongoing nipple pain, we can help identify whether there may be a musculoskeletal or breast health component and can signpost you to specialist lactation support where appropriate.
For feeding, latch and positioning support, you can also attend our free monthly lactation drop in clinic with Liz Brierley, IBCLC.
