TRANSPARENT & HONEST HEALTHCARE
Caroline Escande
Caroline
Caroline's passion for sport led her train in physiotherapy in Toulouse (The ‘Pink City’ in France) in 2012, and she expanded her understanding of the pelvis via a qualification in Women's health and Hypopressive breathing in 2015, and then in Men's Pelvic Health in 2016.
After creating her own physio clinic in France in 2017, love brought her to Bristol and she has enjoyed transitioning her life to here, including learning English, having a little boy. She completed her PGCert in Continence for Physiotherapy in Bradford in summer 2022, and feels her own experience as a postnatal patient allows her to understand how to help new mothers. Caroline loves to treat shoulders and other musculoskeletal conditions as well as prioritising pelvic health.
Caroline says: “I am a huge believer in raising awareness and kindness around pelvic health. It is astonishingly common (up to 1 in 3 women will experience some level of pelvic organ prolapse throughout their life), but incredibly taboo and under-cared for in the UK.
I intend to treat and support people in a safe and supportive space; kindness and empathy is important to me. I share as much knowledge as I can, so people can make informed choices on their own health. I like working with the patient as a partnership working toward achieving their goals, even if they have a busy life.”
