Sound healing by Tama-Do

  • Alma Physiotherapy 25 Lower Redland Road Bristol, England, BS6 6TB United Kingdom (map)

In Traditional Chinese Medicine terms, Tama-Do is said to balance qi (life energy) within the body's meridians, clear blockages, and harmonize the shen (spirit) using sound frequencies tailored to the five elements.

Sound healing by Tama-Do is a vibrational therapy developed by French musician and acupuncturist Fabien Maman, founder of the Tama-Do Academy. Tama-Do (meaning "Way of the Soul") combines combines sound, color, and movement to harmonize the human energy field and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Victoria is a reiki practitioner, yoga teacher, chinese medicine practitioner and sound healing practitioner.

Tama-Do sound healing is based on the idea that every organ, meridian, and chakra has a specific energetic frequency. "Dis-ease" is seen as a disruption in this harmony, and healing occurs by restoring vibrational alignment using pure acoustic instruments. During the group sound healing session, numerous instruments are used tuned to classical musical scales which are in turn related to meridians or chakras. Filters and colored silks may be used in combination with sound to influence subtle energies. The group session is 1 hour and 15 minutes long where you can lie down comfortably and enjoy the relaxation
